A Botox treatment takes about 10–15 minutes, and most patients find it virtually painless. Botox is injected with a very fine needle, and local cooling is typically used, with no need for anaesthesia.
Before the injections, the injection points and dose are determined based on an analysis of your facial expression. The goal is to soften wrinkles while preserving natural facial movement.
No recovery period is needed - you can return to your usual activities right after the treatment. For the first few hours, it is recommended to avoid facial massage, lying down, exercise and heat exposure, such as a sauna or sunbed.
The first effects appear after three to five days, and the full result develops within two weeks of treatment.
