Botox doesn't take effect instantly - the first signs of muscle relaxation usually appear after three to five days, with the full, final effect visible around two weeks after the injection. Because of this, any touch-up or result assessment is never done right away, but only once the effect has fully developed.
The effect usually lasts three to four months, although it can last up to six months for some patients and less for others. Duration depends on the product, dose, treated area and individual response.
Duration may also differ between the first and subsequent treatments. Longer intervals are not guaranteed; maintenance is planned around the patient’s actual response and goals.
As the effect fades, muscle movement gradually returns. Further treatment is planned with your clinician according to the response and the appropriate interval for the product used.
Botox treatment and maintenance are planned individually during your consultation with Dr Maja Simić in Belgrade, taking your goals and response to previous treatments into account.
